Mark your calendars: Parent Teacher Conferences will be Monday, March 1st and Tuesday, March 2nd from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. More details will follow with notes coming from respective buildings on conference procedures.

Annual PTO Carnival Date is Set

Make plans today to attend the annual Elementary PTO Carnival. This event will be held on Saturday March 20th from 3-6 p.m in the elementary building in Granger. Fun and games for the whole family. Admission is free but please note that there will be a cost to participate in the events. All proceeds go directly to the Elementary PTO. Bring the family and make it a great afternoon.

Elementary PTO Skate Night Announced

Elementary PTO invites you to Family Skate Night to be held on Friday February 13th from 5-7 p.m. This event will be held at the Incrediroll Skate Center off Meridith and Merle Hay Road across from Charles Gabus Ford. A portion of your admission goes to the PTO. We hope to see you there!

Hi, I'm Mr. Elliott

I grew up in Anamosa, Iowa and was actively involved in fine arts and media activities at Anamosa High School. I attended Luther College, studying conducting and choral music with Weston Noble. I am beginning my 26th year of teaching vocal and general music at Woodward-Granger.

I've been raising my daughters Caitlin and Brianna here in Woodward. Caitlin is a sophomore at Simpson College in Indianola. Brianna, a Senior, is active in the fine arts here at W-G. We have a dog, some fish and birds at our home which keeps things interesting!

I am a big fan of science fiction and fantasy having been a Trekkie for over 40 years. I love all of the 'epic' stories like Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings - both in written and movie form. I dabble in lots of hobbies including genealogy, collecting Star Trek memorabilia, and creating stained glass pieces. I obviously love music and listen to a wide variety of styles except for rap, which I respect as a musical style, but don't care for personally.

I love teaching music as well as being involved with technology. I've been a computer hobbyist for a long time and have assisted W-G with technology for much of the last twenty years. I feel very strongly about the power of technology to help reach learners and to help teachers and students in their work.

The Woodward-Granger School community is filled with terrific adults and students and it is great to be a HAWK!
